We are dedicated to building partnerships with local community organisations to maximise our funding resources. By doing so, we aim to solidify our role as a vital community asset that benefits everyone involved.
Who are we?
Trafalgar & District Financial Services (TDFS) is the company that holds the franchise for the Trafalgar site. Community Banks are managed by a board of local volunteer directors with a strong connection to their community. Essentially, it is run by the community, for the community.
Where do the funds come from?
Community banking operates on a 'profit-for-purpose' model, which means that profits are reinvested directly into the community that generated them.
The funding for our community investment initiatives is sourced from the profits generated by banking services offered at our branch in Trafalgar.
What makes us different to Corporate Banks?
Community Banks are the ones truly making a difference in their communities, thanks to our valued customers.
The bulk of our profits are funneled back into the community.
Its important to underscore that while we offer everything that other banks do, we also value the power of face-to-face interactions. At Community Bank Trafalgar & District, we strive to maintain and nurture that personal connection with our customers.

Community Investment Program

Our next Community Investment Information Night will on held on March 4th 2026.
Location: McGregor Park Hall, McGregor Park Lane, Trafalgar at 7pm
(Next to the entrance of the Trafalgar Public Swimming Pool)
We encourage you or a representative from your group to attend. Attending this session is required to be eligible to apply for funding.
Applications will be open from March 4th 2026 until April 1st 2026.

Scholarship Program
Our scholarship programs support the future of our community by helping students pursue further education at TAFE or university. These scholarships are designed to assist those who need financial support in their educational journey.
